International Transparency Solutions is a startup social enterprise that delivers international due diligence intelligence and investment oversight services connecting investors (both large and small) with the developing world. Our services are designed to facilitate responsible and effective investment in developing countries, while building confidence in due diligent and accountable investment-seeking institutions within those countries.

After nearly two years in the planning and development stages, Transparency Solutions is seeking initial seed funding and pilot-clients to conduct a two to three month pilot in Nairobi, Kenya. This pilot will be the foundation on which the company intends to solicit increased investment, advisory board members, and future clients.

With social change as our bottom line, and a unique expertise in international development driving everything we do, International Transparency Solutions views itself as a “partner in changing the world”.

How It All Started

The concept for International Transparency Solutions first came about in September of 2007 as Founder and CEO, Marco Puccia, was working for an e-commerce company in Nairobi, Kenya.

“I was working on a project to connect local non-profits with the growing community of ‘online philanthropists’, and I realized there was really no system in place to distinguish the corrupt or illegitimate organizations from the non-corrupt or legitimate organizations soliciting online.”

Building off the model of VeriSign – the widely recognized electronic seal representing ‘online security’ – Marco set off on producing a similar “Electronic Seal of Anti-Corruption”. The seemingly simple task turned into a life-changing journey that gave birth to an entire enterprise and a new approach to a social movement.

Marco spent the next two years developing this idea, with the help of so many from the development and investment communities, into what it is today. International Transparency Solutions, LLC was incorporated in March 2009 and is presently leading into a pilot-phase in Nairobi, Kenya.

Where We Are Now

International Transparency Solutions is in the final preparation stages for a pilot-run in Kenya this Fall. Here are some things we’re working on:

• Continued collaboration on our "Standards of Transparency and Accountability"
• We're currently looking for Pilot-Clients to let us put our model to practice!
• We're looking for early investors! 
• We're also looking for some enthusiastic people to join us on our Board of Advisors!

As mentioned earlier, the idea for International Transparency Solutions came out of the precedent set by VeriSign. Following suit, we at Transparency Solutions are working to build a globally recognized brand – a brand of integrity. The more we succeed on this front, the more we can offer in terms of changing the global investment landscape for the developing world!

As an organization, we want to expand our reach globally with country operations throughout the world – delivering the utmost professional due diligence intelligence and investment oversight services! But more importantly, our vision for the future is rooted in our vision of a CHANGED WORLD:
